Review of the 8th edition of Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône (March 2015) :

For 4 days, the 8th edition of the Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône brought together: 9 tastings, 645 winegrowers and traders, and nearly 2,200 visitors from 31 countries, including 144 journalists from 18 countries.

In total, more than 8,000 trade fair tickets were sold with an average of 1,076 visitors per day, representing an average of 13 theoretical contacts per exhibitor per day.

A highly international 8th edition

This year, Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône welcomed 2,175 visitors.

1,531 French and 650 foreigners mainly from Germany, Belgium and the United States participated in the 8 Découvertes en Vallée du Rhône trade fairs organized this year, demonstrating a 40.2% increase in attendance compared to the previous edition.

The average number of visitors per day was 1,051 versus 710 in 2011, i.e. an increase of 48%.

Visitor statistics: a majority of wine merchants and importers

The main occupational groups of visitors are Wine Merchants (16%), Importers (13%), Sommeliers (9%) and Sales Representatives (9%). Wine Merchants mainly came from France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. As for Importers, they mainly came from Germany, Belgium, the United States, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
