DISCOVERIES IN THE RHÔNE VALLEY
A CSR approach at the heart of the organization of our event
Since 2015, the Inter Rhône teams have implemented numerous initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of their events. This continuous improvement approach aims to offer increasingly responsible trade shows and to build a virtuous ecosystem, in close collaboration with our exhibitors, visitors, and partners, in order to strengthen our commitment to the environment.
OUR ECO-RESPONSIBLE COMMITMENTS
COMMUNICATION TOOLS
- Publication of an exhibitor's guide outlining the waste sorting instructions to be followed during the event.
- Early distribution of this document to exhibitors and stand builders.
- Organizing individual meetings with each service provider during the setup process to present and explain the procedures to be applied.
- Study and installation of specific waste collection devices to promote effective sorting.
- Flyer mailings for event promotion have been discontinued and replaced with email campaigns without attachments.
- Removal of plastic badges and badge holders: the Discoveries in the Rhône Valley badges are now printed on paper.
STANDS AND ENTERTAINMENT AREAS
- Strengthening environmental criteria in the selection of our suppliers: materials used, signage, eco-design, waste management, reuse and lifespan of stands.
- The visual partitions for Discoveries in the Rhône Valley are made of reusable wood and the visuals are timeless so that they can be reused from one edition to the next.
- Implementation of a policy for the storage and reuse of furniture and stands designed to be used over several editions.
- The stand structures, made of steel since 2015, are stored and then refurbished before each edition in order to be reused.
- Reduction of carpeted areas in circulation areas since 2015, while maintaining its presence when necessary to protect certain places, notably the listed floors of the Palais des Papes.
- Since 2019, exhibitors have been using flexible cold packs. Collected after each edition, they are dried, stored and then reused.
